“Valentine’s Day.”  
 
Hinata Hyuga sighed, a little more depressed than how she usually was. Valentine ’s Day was always so nerve-racking for her.  
 
Maybe I should just give up now, she thought to herself as she watched couples pass her by in front of the Hyuga compound.   
“Hinata-sama.” She jumped at the voice.   
“Nii-san! D-Don’t scare me like that please!”

HealHinata slumped into Ino’s family flower shop. She’d just returned from a Team 8 mission, and she had gone to tell her girlfriends that she was too tired to make lunch. Looking for Ino, she froze at two voices on the other side of the tall flower rack.   
“Why? Why did you accept Naruto’s offer? You don’t like him that way.” Ino hissed.   
Hinata’s throat clenched and her heart pounded painfully against her chest.   
“I…I’m lonely Ino, I want someone to comfort me when I cry, someone to need me...someone to love me.” Sakura said softly.
